A questionnaire will be completed before the discovery call occurs. This document helps to clarify the scope of the project and saves time during the discovery call. It also allows the client enough time to provide thoughtful feedback.
Discovery (Inquiry) Call
This communication is the connection between the client, scope of work and the designer where details of the project are clarified with more information. The client and designer can ask questions and provide insight.
The next step can be a consultation or a Design service contract.
Consultation
1 or 2 hours in-person visit or virtual call to answer any design questions and address areas of concern. This can also serve as a color consultation.
Design Service Proposal & Contract
My Secret Dwelling provides a proposal for work and a contract with the scope of work and designer fees.
Conceptual Design
This is a time of gathering inspiration and engaging the imagination, brainstorming, using design boards and considering specific design styles.
Design Development
Clear understanding of client’s requirements and space. Put ideas together, sketching, renderings, contractor collaborations. Finalizing layouts, furniture arrangements, color schemes, lighting, finishes, ensuring the materials align with vision.
The Final Design Phase/Project Management
Coordinating with contractors, architects, artisans and vendors to implement the design. Monitor progress made, resolve any issues, and make sure quality of work is up to par.
Overseeing every aspect of implementation.
Project Wrap Up/Final Walk Through
Final walkthrough making any modifications to existing designs. Examples of modifications: changing lighting levels, furniture arrangements, adding finishing touches on the final design.
Consultations: In Person or Virtual
Our consultation services are designed to understand your unique needs and vision. We take the time to listen to your ideas, preferences, and requirements, providing professional advice and insights to help you achieve your desired outcome. A consultation is scheduled for 1 or 2 hours depending on your needs.
